Ambient Occlusion for Source Games[Tutorial] by Hunter2014HUN Ambient Occlusion for Source Games[Tutorial] by Hunter2014HUN
UPDATE: Better Picture to see the difference

In this tutorial i show how to enable Ambient Occlusion on Source Games.
The Ambient Occlusion is to make shadow between two object, that's only work when you use "Bloom Effect"(Like in Garry's Mod too)

Go where you installed the game and go to:

example:garrysmod/garrysmod/cfg/ and select the autoexec.cfg file (if you don't have create one or select the config.cfg file instead)
and add the next codes, then save the cfg file:

r_projectedtexture_filter 0.2
r_flashlightdepthres 4096
mat_depthbias_shadowmap 0.00001
mat_slopescaledepthbias_shadowmap 2
mat_wateroverlaysize 1

+ for realistic Water add this codes:

r_WaterDrawReflection 1
r_WaterDrawRefraction 1
r_waterforceexpensive 1
r_waterforcereflectentities 1

And there we go,you enabled the Ambient Occlusion on a Source Game.
(Demostration is on the picture)

All I can see is a slight difference in the lighting. Either it hardly makes any difference or these are just poor example shots.
